The bank has been guiding employees to be concerned about the disadvantaged social groups and do what they can to contribute to the public welfare undertakings. Apart from the donation programs organized by the government, most leaders and employees have provided support for some disadvantaged social groups in various forms, such as subsidizing drop-out children and social welfare institutions, working as volunteers, joining volunteer organizations, etc. As initiated by Ningbo Association of Overseas Chinese and arranged by the government of Liangnong County of Yuyao City, nine senior executives of BIN paired with ten impoverished students of the junior middle school of the county in a purpose to help them overcome the difficulties. On January 19, 2008, people involved in this aid activity visited the site to understand the local educational conditions. They also talked face-to-face with the students in trouble to give them more confidence towards learning and life and express the hope that they will grow into persons that can contribute more to the society. This kind of charitable activities has filled the heart of each employee with sunshine and love, and has become another form of BIN’s return to the community besides economic benefits.
